Tuition and fees for MTSU graduate students vary depending on where you live and whether you take all courses online or a combination of online and on-ground or hybrid classes. Note that some electives for the Health Care Management and Music Management concentrations are only available on campus. Rates are adjusted each school year, so the costs below are approximate.
Tennessee residents qualify for in-state tuition. Out-of-state students who take ONLY online courses will be charged the eRate. Non-Tennessee residents who take a combination of online and on-campus courses can qualify for reduced online tuition under the Regional Scholars Program if they:
- Live in a county within 250 miles of the MTSU campus or anywhere within the eight states bordering Tennessee (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, and Virginia)
- Are U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Maintain good academic standing

Students can transfer credits only from other schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) into MTSU’s online M.B.A. program. You may transfer a maximum of 6 credit hours from a previous institution. You cannot transfer credit for the capstone course.
